Andy Rueger has become a name NASCAR fans have learned. Rueger made a name for himself at Darlington after an incident between his driver Ryan Newman and Kurt Busch. On Thanksgiving day, tragedy struck his family as they lost their son Bryce in a tragic accident.
Bryce Andrew Rueger, 7, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012.
Bryce was born in Mooresville on March 7, 2005, the son of Andrew T. and Julie (Hauersperger) Rueger. Bryce was an active child who loved playing baseball with his travel team Carolina Havoc. He attended school at Rocky River Elementary School in Mooresville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Grace Rueger; brother, Brock Rueger; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Laura Rueger; maternal grandparents, Betty and Gary Darlage, Allan and Susan Hauersperger; aunts, Sarah (Christopher) Hensley, Rayna (Andy) Barr, Amy (Gilbert) Carpenter; uncles, Jeffrey Darlage, Eric (Erin) Darlage, Ryan (Danielle) Hauersperger, Darin (Melanie) Hauersperger; cousins, Rachel, David, and Luke Hensley, Austin, Cameron, and Bailey Barr, Delaney Hauersperger, Jayda Hauersperger, Aiden Darlage, and Zachary and Haley Carpenter.
There will be a visitation for family and friends at Cavin Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, on Sunday, November 25 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. And also at Voss Chapel, Seymour, IN, on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 PM and from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, IN, on Wednesday, November 28 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Ralph Blomenberg officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
