Eight Things That NASCAR Needs To Change

NASCAR at one point was the greatest thing to watch on TV. Now it isn’t! What is the problem? What has changed? Well I made a list of 10 things that are wrong with NASCAR in general and not with the cars themselves.

#1: Number one is getting rid of the “yellow line” rule at Daytona and Talladega. What is the point of restricting where the cars can race. I think that it makes it more dangerous for the drivers and has caused some bad wrecks in past years. It also would make for more excitement. It also would keep the announcers from saying  “remember you cant go below the yellow line” every 30 seconds. They say that way to much throughout the race and even worse they say you can go below the line at other tracks during their races.

#2: Number two is the in-car camera. I don’t like the angel that is one the right side of the car looking at the driver. I like the old one where you saw out the window. It is completely more entertaining to watch.

#3: Number 3 is the camera angle around the turns. It is the same exact angle going around the turns. Its like your standing along the fence and the cars are going by you. If I wanted to see that I would go to race. I would like to see a camera angle where I can see and follow the racing.

#4: Number four is just the inconsistency with yellow flags. I personally don’t care anymore if the race finishes under yellow or they race back to the flag. It’s getting ridiculous with the inconsistency. 2007 daytona 500,-no caution &  2012 talladega race-caution. In the opening race of the Nationwide Series season they threw the caution like 10 seconds after the wreck and James Buescher was about 20 feet from the finish line. What was the point?

#5: Shut up about Danica Patrick!

#6: Number six isn’t to difficult, I don’t think. It’s adding Rockingham and North Wilkesboro back to the schedule. Yes, I know North Wilkesboro isn’t going to happen but Rockingham is an old school track and is up to date with safety. It’s also on the truck series schedule.

#7: A lot of people are going to disagree with number seven but, I think NASCAR should get rid of the Chase for the Sprint Cup. It’s not fair that you lead the championship going into the chase then finish 43rd in one race and it’s game over.

#8: CHILL OUT WITH THE COMMERCIALS! Every 10 laps its a commercial and its impossible to get into a race. Every time there’s a caution,  “Oh lets go to commercial! why not?” This side-by-side thing is stupid too.

NASCAR has a lot of areas to improve and if you take a look at these nine things. Almost none involve NASCAR actually spending their money.
