Graham Rahal Tweets With Fans

The first thing Graham Rahal wants to do after winning an Indy 500 is hug his parents, but don’t look for him to grow a Bobby Rahal style ‘stache, cause apparently that’s beyond his ability.

Rahal and his dad were on a road trip to the Detroit Auto Show and so Graham opened up the floor to questions from his twitter followers. Questions ranged from potential teammates and favorite tracks to more personal issues.

While news about a second Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing car has gone cold Graham didn’t rule it out, replying, “Nothing yet.” Later, when asked “If you could have any teammate this season who would it be,” Rahal tweeted, “Would love to help my friend Ryan Briscoe.”

Other race related notes the race he wants to win the most after the Indy 500 is of course the Honda Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio. It’s no big surprise that he’d like to see Edmonton, Cleveland, Road America and Loudon back on the schedule and has no regrets about giving away the race at Texas Motor Speedway last year with a late-race tap of the wall. Also, in contrast to Tony Kanaan, Graham supports double headers at road and street races.

Rahal echoed what a lot of drivers saying he’d like to see more horsepower, up to 850 rather than the 750 they have now. He’s not a fan of the blocking rule and racing, and he’s excited to be racing at Pocono.

On a personal note, he told his girlfriend that they cannot get another dog – he already has four. His favorite TV show is Duck Dynasty, and Jase is his favorite member of the Robertson clan. His NFL loyalties are split between the Indianapolis Colts and the Pittsburg Steelers. Graham’s daily drivers are a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG black series and an Acura MDX. Also, if Graham hadn’t made it driving cars he’d be selling them, probably for his father.

He also tweeted out this instagram of a scale model slot car version of Road America his father made.
