Zac Brown Band to Perform at Daytona 500

While the Super Bowl is tomorrow, the Super Bowl of NASCAR is still a few weeks away. And arguably one of the hottest performers in country music today has been tapped to perform the pre-race concert for the Daytona 500 at the Daytona International Speedway.

With a few award shows before hand, Zac Brown has his hands busy as his band prepares for a huge performance before the Super Bowl of NASCAR.

Last year the Zac Brown Band performed during the MLB Home Run Derby (see featured image), but performing for the Daytona 500 is an entirely different atmosphere.

The set list hasn’t been finalized, but when asked by Associated Press about his plans for Daytona, Brown gave a straight to the point answer.

“It would have to be up-tempo, rockin’,” Brown said, “…tryin’ to get everybody pumped up for the race.”

Country music is no doubt and unarguably a fan favorite among NASCAR fans, so Brown fits in the mold to get the crowd pump.

With an up-tempo set list, Brown will get fans pumped, but the unknowns of the new season and car will have fans pumped heading into the pre-race concert.

Honestly i think this is not needed…i think nascar should just focus on the race itself and not the pre race entertainment
