Landon Cassill Finds a Ride for Phoenix

When NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Landon Cassill announced that he was leaving BK Racing several weeks ago, it took many by surprise. Still to this day we have no idea why Cassill left the start-up organization after just one season. Everyone have moved on though, including Cassill himself who will drive the No. 33 Circle Sport Chevrolet.

Last week the car was driven by Austin Dillon with Richard Childress equipment, this week the team returns with Joe Falk behind the operations. Last season this car was driven by Stephen Leicht. They were mostly a start and park team last season.

Leicht competed for Rookie of the Year and won the award over Josh Wise. Leicht only competed in fifteen events which left many fans disappointed in NASCAR for allowing a starting and parking driver to win what once was considered a very prestigious award.

Mike Hillman Sr. will be his crew chief and lead the team with Cassill behind the wheel at Phoenix.

There has been no comments or confirmation on the plans for this team in the future. As far as the media and public knows, Cassill is only scheduled to drive the car just this weekend. Of course that could change.
