NASCAR: Bristol Winners & Losers

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Food City 500 gave fans a great show, but for the drivers…some just had a bad day. Some on the others came out on top like winners.

Winner: Kasey Kahne – Kahne has always had the potential to be a championship contender. Until this year small and unfortunate issues have kept him just outside of being one. Last week after running so well, he fell short of the win. This week, he won and not only just won another race, but won his first race at Bristol.

Loser: Kyle Busch – Rowdy has been in countless positions to win races. He’s been fast all season long and running well in the races. However he’s been too fast. Speeding on pit road has cost Rowdy good finishes and chances to win races. Is it me or has he been caught speeding every race so far this season?

Winner: Brad Keselowski – Brad K may not have won the race, but he is proving his championship win last season was not a fluke. He is now sitting a top of the Sprint Cup driver standings just weeks into the new season. Of course there are many more to go, but this again goes to prove, he wants to win championships and isn’t a fluke.

Loser: Denny Hamlin – Just last week, Hamlin made a mature decision to drop his appeal against NASCAR. This week, he made an immature decision to play the immature games of Joey Logano and the Twitter war.

Loser: Joey Logano – Can’t say he or Hamlin really win after their heated exchange at Bristol. Logano still has maturity issues and it was evident when he couldn’t handle the Bristol anger of Denny Hamlin. Of course Hamlin showed immaturity in the situation as well.
