NASCAR: Denny Hamlin vs. Joey Logano

Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Food City 500 gave fans one of the most incredible races at Bristol Motor Speedway they have seen in many years, and probably since the reconfiguration back in 2007. Included in the package was a new rivalry between two former teammates, now enemies.

Coming out of turn four, Joey Logano slid up into Denny Hamlin. Hamlin did not appreciate that and he gave Logano some payback and returned the favor by spinning him out in the next turn.

After the race there was a scuffle between the two drivers and their crew. Of course it wasn’t as heated as Clint Bowyer vs. Jeff Gordon, but it was entertaining.

After the race, Logano told the reporters in a post race interview, “We’ve got a freaking genius behind the wheel of the 11. Probably the worst teammate I ever had, so I learned that now. He chose to run into the back of me. Whatever. I have a scorecard and I’m not putting up with that. What goes around come around.”

Denny Hamlin’s rebuttal? Priceless. Hamlin’s response was, “He said he was coming for me. I usually don’t see him, so it’s usually not a factor.”

Short, sweet, and simple Hamlin!

The feud then extended over onto Twitter where Logano started the Twitter war by tweeting, “Hey @dennyhamlin great job protecting that genius brain of yours by keeping your helmet on.”

Hamlin responded, “Last time I checked he had my cell and direct message button to choose from if he’s got a problem.. Otherwise hush little child.”

Right now the score according to me is Denny 3 – Joey 0…

The Bowyer/Gordon fued didn’t last long, so how long does the Hamlin/Logano fued last?
