Justin Wilson will be starting his second consecutive season behind the wheel of the No. 19 Dale Coyne Racing entry this weekend. However, it won’t be his last season with the team either.
Wilson announced that he has signed a multi-year contract extension with Dale Coyne Racing. The terms of the contract have not been released, but Wilson did say that it is a long-term agreement.
“In evaluating Dale’s commitment to the sport, we have signed a long-term agreement,” Wilson said in a released statement. “We had a great season last year highlighted by our first win at an oval track in Texas. The entire team’s back, so I am expecting good things to happen.”
Wilson has two victories for Dale Coyne Racing as well as six top-10 finishes last season.
This season Wilson will be joined by part-time teammate Ana Beatriz. She will drive the No. 18 entry for Coyne on a part-time schedule. She will be races St. Petersburg and the Indy 500 among a few others schedule this season. She and the team are working hard to find more races and sponsorship for this season.
