Heading into this weekend of festivities in Alabama, James Hinchcliffe looks to continue his strong start to the season by winning again and extending his eight point lead over Helio Castroneves. Meanwhile, Penske Racing looks to continue their dominance at the southern road course.
Scott Dixon has finished runner up three consecutive seasons since the race was put on the IZOD IndyCar Series schedule in 2010. He hopes this is the year he finally gets a win and can get around a Penske driver to do just that.
AJ Allmendinger is returning to open wheel racing, he will be making his IZOD IndyCar Series debut this weekend for the Captain, Roger Penske, in his No. 2 entry. That gives Penske three drivers to give him a chance of winning his fourth straight race at the track. That would also mean, nobody but Penske can claim victory in Alabama.
It was a rough start to 2013 for Dario Franchitto, but he looks to rebound this weekend with a solid effort to get him some points and a good finish that is desperately needed already this early on.
Barber Motorsports Park is one of the newer tracks on the IndyCar schedule and it always gives a fans a great show. Sunday should be no different yet again!
