Martinsville: NASCAR Gambling & Odds

After an off week the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is back in action this weekend at the Martinsville Speedway. With all of the tension and story lines going into this week it is interesting to look at the odds of all the drivers.

With Denny Hamlin out and Mark Martin replacing him and his odds to win are 14/1. With great equipment I think he has a great shot of winning on Sunday. Pole sitter Jimmie Johnson has a 9/2 odds which is not surprising because he always dominates at Martinsville. Points leader Dale Earnhardt Jr is at 12/1 and has been consistent all year so don’t be surprise if you see him in victory lane. Joey Logano who has built up a lot of talk this year has odds of 25/1. Probably one of the biggest surprises of the year has to be Paul Menard who is currently is in 8th in points but has 66/1 odds of winning. I think Paul really should have better odds for winning the race and if I had to pick a surprise winner it would no doubt be him. Another surprise I think could be Kurt Busch who has odds of 33/1

Danica Patrick is showing to be a big disappointment and as a result the odds are really against. They are a big 100/1 and Martinsville is not an easy track to race at so there is no shock that her odds are 100/1. Regan Smith has the same odds who is driving for James Finch in the 51.

After all of the talk going on the past two weeks it is no doubt going to be one of the best races of the year.
