Motorsports fans are getting a treat later this year when Ron Howard releases his next featured film, Rush. Rush is scheduled to hit theaters in September later this year and it’s expected to be the next biggest racing film since the release of Driven many years ago in the early 2000s.
Racing movies have not really hit Hollywood in big fashion, but the occasional one such as Driven and Days of Thunder have taken Hollywood and fans alike by storm. With Ron Howard running the show, it seems that Rush has potential to become the most popular racing film in modern times if not one of the most popular.
Summary: A biography of Formula 1 champion driver Niki Lauda and the 1976 crash that almost claimed his life. Mere weeks after the accident, he got behind the wheel to challenge his rival, James Hunt. (IMBD)
