NASCAR: Kansas Gambling & Odds

This weekend the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series enters the Midwest at Kansas Speedway. As always, it is interesting to look at the odds to see who has the best chance to win the race on Sunday.

Pole sitter Matt Kenseth has 17/2 odds of winning the race Sunday and his teammate, Brian Vickers who is driving the 11 this week has odds 25/1. Kyle Busch who is winning in everything he races in has 15/2 odds of winning and he is my pick to win the race. Jimmie Johnson who is a favorite every weekend has odds of 11/2 and I would say be on the lookout for him to have a good race as well. Fan favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr I think also has a good chance of winning has odds of 12/1.

Martin Truex Jr is still looking for his second career win and came close last week at Texas and is my dark horse for the weekend. He has odds of 11/1. Paul Menard is definitely one of the surprises this year sitting tenth in points but has odds of 66/1. No doubt though the biggest surprise this year has to be Casey Mears who has 350/1 odds to win. Media favorite Danica Patrick has odds of 200/1. Jeff Gordon is starting 43rd for the first time in his career and his odds are still pretty good at 12/1. Be on the lookout for Gordon to get to the front in a hurry on Sunday.

Kansas was surprisingly good last year with the new pavement and this years race might be good too. It should be interesting to see how the generation six car will handle at Kansas. To see a complete list off the odds click here
