2013 Indianapolis 500 Odds

The 2013 Indianapolis 500 marks the 97th annual running of the most iconic race in motorsports. And for the first time since Mario Andretti’s victory, an Andretti could very well put the famous Andretti family back in victory lane at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Marco Andretti is the favorite to win this year’s Indy 500. He has had solid finishes all season long, has the right mentality and has been fast all month at Indy. He is favorited to win the race with a 13/2 odds.

The next duo should be no strange faces. The Ganassi duo of Dario Franchitto and Scott Dixon are the next favorites with 7/1 odds.

My pick to win the race is Indy 500 Rookie AJ Allmendinger. He has a 12/1 chance at victory this coming Sunday in Indianapolis.

This year’s pole sitter, Ed Carpenter, doesn’t even have his own category. He was put in the “other drivers” category with 40/1 odds to win the big race.

Here are the odds for the entire thirty-three car field (courtesy of TheSpread.com):
