In preparation for the 2013 Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Joe Gibbs Racing and Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing have made their way to the famous two miles track for testing.
The teams arrived yesterday and will stay through today for more testing in preparation for the Brickyard.
Denny Hamlin was medically cleared after his hard impact at Kentucky Speedway on Sunday and is testing his No. 11 Toyota along with Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth. Busch is also testing for the No. 54 Nationwide Series entry along with Brian Vickers and Elliott Sadler who are testing their rides for the second Nationwide Series race at the Brickyard.
Jamie McMurray and Juan Pablo Montoya of course are the two drivers testing for Chip Ganassi. McMurray won the Brickyard 400 and would love to win it again as the track means a great deal to team co-owner Chip Ganassi.
Fans are free to stop by the track and watch the testing from the Hall of Fame parking lot until 5pm today when testing concludes.
These teams of course are hoping that this test will bring them some notes that will give them an advantage over the teams that did not participate.
