His Roger Penske teammate, Joey Logano will sit on the outside when they take the Green Flag on Sunday afternoon.
Keselowski’s qualifying speed is a track record, beating Jimmie Johnson’s qualifying lap of 139.222 mph from
Nov. 2013. His teammate Joey Logano (139.265 mph) also surpassed the old track record.This is his fourth pole in 163 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.This is his first pole and first top-10 start in 2014.This is his first pole in ten races at Phoenix International Raceway.
Jamie McMurray will go off third, the top qualifying rookie was McMurray’s teammate, rookie Kyle Larson. The Target Chevy will go off eighth. Larson was the top rookie qualifier.
The 10th Annual The Profit on CNBC 500 presented by Small Business Fueling America will be the second race on the Sprint Cup circuit. We will get a chance to see if the changes NASCAR has made to the Gen6 car will perform as well on the smaller tracks as it did in Daytona. Phoenix International Speedway is a one-mile oval.
Keselowski finished in third place behind Denny Hamlin in Sunday nights Daytona 500. He is your 2012 Sprint Cup Champion.
