NASCAR: Greatest Radio Sound Bites From 2013 [VIDEO]

The 2014 NASCAR season is off to an amazing start. Race fans have been treated to six different winners through the first six races as well as a handful of great finishes. Although 2014 has gotten off to a bang, sometimes it’s fun to reflect on previous seasons.

One of the most unique things about the sport of NASCAR is that each driver essentially has a microphone on them at all times. With the touch of a button a driver is able to instantly communicate with their Crew Chief and Spotter. Although this communication is crucial to the success of the team, it also creates an opportunity for drivers to say some of the darnedest things. Whether a driver is being funny or flipping out, radio sound bites during the race can be pretty entertaining at times.

In the heat of the moment drivers often don’t think twice about censoring their in-car radio comments. These exchanges between driver and team can often give fans a clearer picture about how a driver really feels about something. For example, this compilation of NASCAR drivers venting about Danica Patrick might lead some to believe that all of the political correct things most say about her is bologna.

Regardless of the true feelings behind some of the stuff said during a race, the one undeniable fact is that it’s all pretty entertaining. Below is a video highlighting some of the better sound bites from the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup season.
