Nationwide Insurance is “on your side” and beginning in 2015 they will be on the hood of the No. 88 machine which is driven by Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It was announced early on Friday that Earnhardt Jr. and Nationwide Insurance have reached a three year deal in the neighborhood of $30 million. Under this deal Nationwide will be the primary sponsor of the No. 88 car for 12 races in 2015. They will then take on primary sponsorship for 13 races in 2016 and 2017. Hendrick Motorsports also announced that the deal with Nationwide will not have any impact on their relationship with Farmers Insurance, the company that sponsors Kasey Kahne and the No. 5 car.
Seeing as how this new deal isn’t a full season one, it’s safe to assume that he will continue his relationship with some of his other primary sponsors as well. Below is the official announcement for Earnhardt himself. There is no word yet as to when the paint scheme for the Nationwide car will be revealed.
