NASCAR: Coke Zero 400 Results, Aric Almirola Wins!

It took a lot longer than expected and fans didn’t even get to see a full 160 laps but NASCAR did get a winner of the Coke Zero 400 and it was none other than Aric Almirola. Almirola put his No. 43 machine to the front shortly before the rain was stopped for rain. After waiting nearly an hour NASCAR decided to call the race as the rain continued to come down on the track. Almirola took his No. 43 machine to Victory Lane for the first time in his Sprint Cup Series career. Aiding his victory was of course the rain but it was also how he was able to avoid a 16-car wreck early in the race and a 26-car wreck late in the race.

Here is the complete Unofficial Running Order:

The win will put Almirola into the chase assuming that he can stay within the top-30 in the point standings which should not be an issue. The multiple wrecks hurts drivers like Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Larson, Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne who have not yet won and are point racing in an effort to make the chase.
