Brad Keselowski has been in the headlines recently because he has been absolutely tearing it up on the racetrack. Heading into New Hampshire Keselowski had won consecutive races and he left New Hampshire with a solid top-10 finish. While Keselowski’s on-track performance usually does the talking for him, the driver of the No. 2 machine has never been scared to share his opinion about most any topic that he is asked about.

More from Jimmie Johnson

Saturday while at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Keselowski was asked to share his thoughts about the Tony Stewart investigation and it being sent to be heard before a grand jury.

"Feels a little bit like a cop-out.The only concern I have is that it sounds like there’s a second tape that they haven’t released — and I don’t understand why. Beyond that, it kind of feels a little bit like a cop-out that they send it to the grand jury, but I think everybody is wishing Tony the best and supporting him, and that’s probably the most important thing."

Keselowski brings up a good point in reference to the second video not being released. It was discovered last week during the announcement that the case would go to the grand jury that a second video does indeed exist. What is not known is what that second video contains and why it is that the video has yet to be released to the public.

Keselowski wasn’t the only driver to share his thoughts about this situation this past weekend. Six-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson also spoke about the case although he doesn’t seem to have been following it as closely as Keselowski has been.

"Has there been a statement or anything recently from Tony’s side? I think I saw something last week, so I’m waiting as well. I think the statement that he made helped me understand things and feel better about things then. The fact that I guess in the state, or whatever went on with the police department and saying there was no criminal issue there that was another step in the direction, I think, where things are heading. But I’m waiting. And I think the whole industry and the world is waiting to see when Tony is able to sit at a mic and talk. So I’m like all of you; I’m just waiting."

The noise around Stewart has simmered down a bit in the last couple of weeks. A lot of that has to do with the fact that he has made his return to the track and that he missed the chase. With Stewart not a part of the chase it has allowed him to fade into the background somewhat which might be something that he is okay with.
