The 2016 Daytona 500 is one week away which means that the official start to the NASCAR season is almost upon us. Here are 15 bold predictions for the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

It’s prediction time once again here at Beyond The Flag.

In 2015 we made 10 bold predictions and some of our predictions were right on the mark. For example, we correctly predicted Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr. having success with their new crew chiefs, Jeff Gordon making a run at a fifth title, Kevin Harvick getting into the Final-Four and someone from Team Penske ruffling some feathers.

We also had our share of misses in 2015.

Carl Edwards did not lead the series in wins, Ryan Newman did not miss the Chase, Danica Patrick did not earn his first win and Jimmie Johnson did not make it to the final-four. The good news is that it’s a new year and that means another set of predictions with the chance to improve on our number from 2015.
