Nick DeGrootNick DeGroot

I am a passionate 19 year old race fan that has a deep love for all forms of motorsports but especially NASCAR. I was born & raised in Syracuse, NY & have been writing racing articles for 3 years. My father is a former tire changer in Cup, my brother has worked for RCR in the Sprint Cup series & my dream is to make a career out of this sport I love so much. My family and I got the rare chance to spend a weekend in the driver RV lot back in 2011 & I felt like I was truly a part of the NASCAR family as I made small talk with superstars such as Clint Bowyer. That experience has me driven more than ever to pursue my dream. Another interesting fact about me is that although I live in Yankee territory, my cousin is the former catcher & captain of the Boston Red Sox; Jason Varitek.
