Hailing from Northern California, Matthew is a lifelong auto racing fan. For the better part of 15 years he has served as track reporter for his home track, Redwood Acres Raceway. Since 2009, he has recorded and posted video of the races at RAR on YouTube. In 2010, he began work on his blog, Speeding In The Pits which tracks in-race penalties for drivers in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.Matthew follows racing of all variety. Besides following NASCAR specifically, he is a huge fan of pavement late model short track racing and is an avid collector of old racing footage of west coast late model open competition events as well as races from the now defunct NASCAR Southwest Tour Series.
