This weekend in Texas, Tony Stewart will run a special paint scheme on his No. 14 machine. The car will be sponsored by Rush Truck Centers. In correlation with the sponsor this weekend in Texas for the Duck Commander 500, Stewart decided to make a special video and give his truck driver a special salute.
In the video below you will see Stewart saluting the No. 14 team’s hauler driver, Ken Gober, with the iconic arm motion that wordlessly asks truck drivers to honk their horn. This salute is something that countless others have done to truck drivers across the country. It is also something that truck drivers take great pride in and love seeing.
Stewart is joining a movement with Rush Truck Centers and Mobil Delvac 1 that is asking all NASCAR fans to salute your local truck drivers. When you see them on the road there is no better way to salute them than to offer them the same salute that Stewart did in the video. More often than not that salute will be greeted with the honking of their horn. You can also offer your salute via social media and if you do you can use #HaulerHoller to spread the word.
This weekend in Texas Stewart will be looking to come out of the off-week strong. Through six races in 2015 he only has one top-15 finish and two top-20 finishes. A strong run this weekend in Texas could help start building some momentum for Stewart and the No. 14 team moving forward.
Be sure to comment below and share your thoughts on the trucker salute. Also, don’t forget to hit social media and use the #HaulerHoller to spread your message that way.
