[Last Race: 11th (+7)] — Chase Elliott opened up the playoffs at Chicagoland with a 2nd place finish, a finish that tied his career-high and is his new career-high on a non-2-mile oval track. That result can be a great confidence booster for the second-year driver.. No. 24

#3. [Last Race: 6th (+3)] — Kevin Harvick drove a great race at Chicagoland to open up the playoffs en route to a 3rd place finish as the top Ford driver. The 2014 Cup Series champion is off to a great start in this year’s playoffs in attempt to win his second career title.. No. 4. Stewart-Haas Racing, Ford. KEVIN HARVICK

Chip Ganassi Racing, Chevrolet. KYLE LARSON. #2. [Last Race: 2nd (-)] — Kyle Larson opened up the playoffs with a solid 5th place finish, which was good enough to help him stay in 2nd place in the standings. With four wins so far this season, he trails only the driver who is ranked #1 in these rankings in that category.. No. 42

Furniture Row Racing, Toyota. MARTIN TRUEX JR.. #1. [Last Race: 1st (-)] — Martin Truex Jr. kicked off the playoffs at Chicagoland by doing what he does best, and that is winning. He claimed his fifth win of the season to take sole possession of the wins lead, and he continued building his leads in the standings and playoff points.. No. 78
