The driver with the best chances for an upset win is…

At this point, the driver with the best chances of upsetting the field and winning on Sunday is Kasey Kahne in his #5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. Unfortunately, Kahne was eliminated from the playoffs last weekend after failing to score enough points to finish in the top 12. Incidentally, NASCAR will now go to a track where Kahne has had great success.

The 2017 season has been an up and down year for Kahne. Shortly after finding Victory Lane in Indianapolis, it was announced that he was out of a ride in 2018 at Hendrick Motorsports.  However, roughly two weeks ago, Kahne signed a deal with Leavine Family Racing to drive the #95 Chevrolet.

As a matter of fact, Kahne has won at Charlotte Motor Speedway four times in his Cup Series career. With just seven races remaining in his Hendrick Motorsports career, Kahne will be on the hunt to win again before his departure. The best place on the schedule for him to do so? Charlotte Motor Speedway.
