Texas Predictions Wrap-Up

This week, the NASCAR Cup Series goes to Texas, leaving us with just three races to go in the 2017 season. Kyle Busch has already punched his ticket to the Championship 4 in Homestead-Miami. This leaves just three more spots available to be fought out between seven drivers. It will be high speeds and a battle to the very end to see who ends up in Victory Lane on Sunday.

More from NASCAR

It will be interesting to see if Chase Elliott takes his shot at Denny Hamlin this weekend. I still think he will wait it out and pick a better time to get him back. Of course, I feel this way because Elliott will be the one who crosses the finish line first, gaining his first career Cup Series victory.

It will also be fun to see if the racing on the track is as hot as the temperature in Fort Worth on Sunday and if any drivers get caught speeding on pit road on Sunday, which is bound to happen to a few drivers. Lastly, expect overtime on Sunday, stemming from either high temperatures causing an engine failure or a wreck.

All in all, the NASCAR Cup Series will head to Texas with three spots still available.  However, I have a feeling that only two spots will be up for grabs after Texas. Either way, we are due for some great high-speed, high-banked racing at Texas this weekend. What are your predictions for Texas this weekend? Will Chase Elliott get his revenge? Or will he be too busy winning?
