How do the 21 full-time oval drivers stack up following the second IndyCar oval race of the season, the Indianapolis 500?

The second oval race of the 2018 IndyCar season, the Indianapolis 500, and the first in nearly two months is in the books. Team Penske’s Will Power won for the second time this season, for the first time on an oval this season and the first time in the Indy 500 in his career.

Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden won the first oval race of the 2018 season at ISM Raceway in early April, meaning Power’s victory in the Indy 500 makes Team Penske two for two in terms of winning oval races so far this season.

Newgarden finished in eighth place in the Indy 500, so while Power is ahead of him in the IndyCar oval championship standings since double points were awarded in the Indy 500, Newgarden’s average finish in the two oval races so far this season is still far better than Power’s, as Power crashed in the race at ISM Raceway and was officially scored in 22nd.

How did Will Power’s victory and the rest of the action in the second of six oval races on the 2018 IndyCar schedule affect the IndyCar Driver Oval Power Rankings? Here are the formulated IndyCar Driver Oval Power Rankings and the non-formulated IndyCar Driver Oval Power Rankings following the Indy 500.
