After the early stages of the 2018 season were littered with incidents for Max Verstappen, the 21-year-old Dutchman rebounded by nearly taking third place in the driver standings as a result of an incredibly strong second half of the season. Charles Leclerc is set to replace Kimi Raikkonen at Ferrari beginning in the 2019 season.
After an impressive rookie season driving for Sauber, the 21-year-old Monegasque is set to be in a position where he can win races on a regular basis and potentially challenge Sebastian Vettel to become the Italian team’s top driver, especially given their progression as a team in recent seasons coupled with Vettel’s recent struggles. Many people believe that he can even perform well enough to dethrone five-time champion Lewis Hamilton.
Lewis Hamilton is a five-time Formula 1 champion, and he has won four of the last five championships, including the last two. After starting off the 2018 season rather slowly, he rebounded by recording a career-high point total (408) and tying his career-high win total (11). Until somebody proves otherwise, he is the undisputed top driver in the sport.
