Formula 1: 3 possible landing spots for Mick Schumacher in 2023

Possible Mick Schumacher landing spots: No. 2 – Williams
One of the two seats without confirmed drivers for next year does technically have a confirmed driver for next year, and that is the second Williams seat alongside Alexander Albon.
Williams recently announced that Formula 2 and Williams Driver Academy driver Logan Sargeant is set to join Albon as the replacement for Nicholas Latifi at the Grove-based team next year, but they also stated that this possibility hinges on Sargeant scoring the necessary points to secure a Super License.
The 21-year-old Floridian recently drove for Williams in free practice sessions ahead of the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas, the Mexico City Grand Prix at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, and the Sao Paulo Grand Prix at Interlagos Circuit, and he is set to do so again ahead of the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit.
Should he fulfill the requirements in the remaining session without penalty, he would need a top six finish in the Formula 2 standings to secure the Super License. If he can’t, he would need a top five finish.
He currently sits in third place with just one race weekend remaining in Abu Dhabi, but the drivers from fourth to sixth place are only nine points behind him (all tied for fourth), and the driver in seventh is only a further three points back. It is by no means a lock.
If that doesn’t happen, Mick Schumacher is believed to be the favorite to take Latifi’s place. Haas clearly don’t seem to be in any rush to secure his services for next year, so he would be silly not to take advantage of the potential opportunity if it arises.
