Four: 2007 – Auto Club 500

With less than 10 laps to go in the 2007 Auto Club 500 a caution came out which bunched the cars together to create a four-lap-dash to the finish. At the time of the caution Kevin Harvick was running second in his No. 29 machine. Harvick was fresh off of a victory the week before in the Daytona 500 and was looking to win consecutive races to start the 2007 season. While cleaning his tires and preparing for the restart with four laps to go, Harvick had a tire go down which forced him to pit road and dashed his dreams of winning back-to-back races. When the field took the green flag Matt Kenseth had to deal with a charging Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson.
