NOT – Clint Bowyer and Reed Sorenson

After Bowyer got into Kyle Larson on the opening lap of the race, he and Sorenson had very similar nights. As a result of tire chording each of them saw their cars essentially go up in flames. The fire in the wheel hub of Bowyer’s No. 15 machine essentially melted the entire right front of the car. The fire in the same spot on Sorenson’s No. 36 machine engulfed his car in flames to the point where he had to be pulled out of the car. I can’t imagine that either driver saw their night ending the way it did on Saturday.
