NASCAR: Who’s Hot and Who’s Not Heading Into Charlotte

When Wise got into the Sprint All-Star Race via the Sprint Fan Vote, Danica Patrick did not. Some have called Patrick missing the race a farce and a grave injustice on the part of NASCAR. Those people seem to have forgotten that she had a chance to race her way into the event and was not able to do so. Regardless, I am willing to bet that on some level Patrick felt that she had the Sprint Fan Vote in her back pocket and to some extent she did. After all, had the Wise fans not cheated Patrick would have been the winner. Maybe this just shows that those Wise fans are a bit savvier than Patrick fans or maybe it just shows that we live in a world where everything is tainted. Anyways, at the end of the day Patrick was on the outside looking in which is a shame for someone that has as many fans as she does and receives the amount of media coverage that she receives.
