Finishing 8th at Pocono may not have been the finish that Jeff Gordon wanted. Gordon was strong early in the race where he spent most of that time inside of the top-three. However, fuel strategy and late cautions shuffled the field up and when it all shook out Gordon ended up with a top-10. While he may have had a top-five car; Gordon can smile knowing that he not only adds another top-10 to his resume in 2014 but he also retook the points lead. Gordon is in the midst of one of his best seasons in years, it shouldn’t surprise anyone if he wins another race or two before the chase begins.
