NASCAR: Who’s Hot And Who’s Not Heading Into Sonoma

HOT – Paul Menard
Father’s Day weekend was very good to one Paul Menard in 2014. Menard won the Nationwide Series race on Saturday and then followed that up by finishing 4th in the Sprint Cup race on Sunday. Menard showed good speed all week and even surprised a few when he was able to qualify towards the front of the field. Although Menard has not had the 2014 that he would have liked to have had thus far, he has been making strides these past handful of weeks. Menard currently sits 13th in the point standings. If he and his team can continue to run well they might be able to slide into one of those final chase spots even if they are not able to find Victory Lane prior to the chase.
