NOT – Matt Kenseth

It was just a handful of weeks ago that Matt Kenseth was sitting atop of the point standings. Flash forward to after Sonoma and Kenseth is 4th in the standings, 65 standings behind current point’s leader Jeff Gordon. After finishing inside of the top-10 nine times out of ten, Kenseth has finished outside of the top-10 in each of the last three races. While this may not be a big deal once he wins a race, the No. 20 team is running out of races to win before the chase begins. A couple of months ago the talk with Kenseth was “when” was he going to win and now the talk if “if” he is going to win. Sunday at Sonoma was a day Kenseth would like to forget as he was dumped off of the track by Dale Earnhardt Jr. while battling for the 17th position. The damage that the car suffered would lead to Kenseth finishing in the 42nd position. Kenseth and the No. 20 team need to get their momentum back this weekend in Kentucky.
