NASCAR: Who’s Hot And Who’s Not Heading Into Indianapolis

HOT – Kasey Kahne

Kasey Kahne and the No. 5 team have been on a bit of a tear as of late. Kahne has finished 11th or better in four of his last five races. While it goes without saying that the No. 5 teams wants to win a race, the consistency has them in the hunt for a spot in the chase even if they do not win a race this season. Kahne currently sits 17th in the point standings which seems like a horrible spot for a driver to be in. While 17th place certainly does not have a nice ring to it, the fact that he is only nine points out of the final chase spot with seven races to go does have a nice ring to it. During the final seven races of the regular season Kahne is looking to race his way into the chase and join the rest of the Hendrick Motorsports teammates. The current wave of momentum that he and his team are on should be enough to get them there.
