NASCAR: Who’s Hot And Who’s Not Heading Into Richmond
NOT – Kyle Busch
Kyle Busch continues to make the “not” list but in all fairness this past race was much better than his previous results. Busch is currently mired in a five-race slump in which his best finish is 16th (Atlanta) and his other four finishes are all 36th or worse. Busch’s last top-15 finish was when he ran second at the Brickyard 400. During this five-race slide Busch has been involved in wrecks, had tire issues, been called out by his crew chief and had on-track scuffles with drivers (Martin Truex Jr. in Atlanta). All in all this is something that needs to end in Richmond for the No. 18 team because if this carries over to the chase Busch could end up being one of the first cars knocked out. When it comes to Busch talent has never been the question, instead it has always been everything else.
