NOT – Clint Bowyer

Richmond could have been the ultimate night for Clint Bowyer and the No. 15 team. Bowyer had one of the better cars on the track Saturday night when he finished 3rd behind Brad Keselowski and Jeff Gordon. Unfortunately for Bowyer his 3rd place finish was not enough to overtake Greg Biffle for the final spot in the chase grid. After the race a very somber Bowyer talked about how his team simply wasn’t ready for the chase and how changes needed to be made. Bowyer is right on both ends because had he made the chase it’s very possible he would have been one of the first four cars out. The No. 15 team has had a rough year and a lot of that can be attributed to what took place at Richmond in 2013. When a team loses a car and a huge sponsor that’s money and information that cannot easily be found elsewhere. These final 10 races of the season need to be used to figure out where the No. 15 is lacking in an effort to better them when 2015 comes around.
