NASCAR: Who’s Hot And Who’s Not Heading Into Dover

NOT – Matt Kenseth
Matt Kenseth posted a 10th place finish in the opening race of the chase and then followed it up with a 21st place finish last weekend in Loudon. The result of this is that Kenseth is now only two points ahead of the 12th place driver in the standings with only one race to go before the first elimination in the chase. Although Kenseth entered the chase without a win despite having won seven times in 2013, many fans believed that he was going to be a contender. While Kenseth still may be a contender he certainly is not in a spot that he wants to be in nor is he in a spot that many fans thought he was going to be in come Dover. 2014 has been disappointing for the No. 20 team as they have struggled to be consistent from the middle of the season on. While they do not need a hail-Mary type performance this weekend, they will need a solid run if they plan on continuing their run towards a championship in 2014.
