NASCAR: Who’s Hot And Who’s Not Heading Into Charlotte

HOT – Joey Logano

It would be hard to argue that there is any driver out there that is hotter than Joey Logano is right now. Logano has won two of the first four chase races and has already punched his ticket into the third round of the chase. As for the other two races that he didn’t win, well he finished fourth in both of those events. Logano is heating up and hitting his stride at just the right time. It also helps that some of the other ‘favorites’ to make the next round of the chase struggled at Kansas Speedway last weekend. If Logano is able to move on without the likes of Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson or Dale Earnhardt Jr. following him; his road to the NASCAR championship might be a little bit less bumpy. The win this past weekend at Kansas was also important because the third race of this round of the chase is Talladega. With a spot in the next round already secured, Logano and the No. 22 team can now hit the track at Talladega and not have to worry about where they finish the race or whether or not they will be able to avoid “the big one.”
