NOT – Kevin Harvick

Harvick is still considered by many as one of the favorites to win the title this season. However, if he is going to do that he will have to dig himself out of a hole after what took place at Martinsville. Contact between Harvick and Matt Kenseth resulted in Harvick suffering damage and a poor finish. Harvick now finds himself last in the standings and 28 points behind Kenseth who is currently 4th in the standings. The good news for Harvick and company is that a win will erase all of the frustration that was Martinsville. The other good news for Harvick is that he has consistently been one of the fastest cars this season and him winning one of the next two races is more than possible. Although it’s unclear if Harvick will make the final race of the chase, he did make it clear what would happen if he didn’t. Following Martinsville Harvick had no issue telling the media that if the No. 4 team doesn’t win a title this season, the No. 20 team certainly will not be winning one either.
