PROPS – Some weeks we will finish by giving props to certain drivers or teams that we feel deserve the mention but might not have fit into one of our “hot or not” sections.

  • Denny Hamlin – Hamlin had a strong run at Michigan and finds himself in a nice spot in the points with two races to go in this round.
  • Tony Stewart – Stewart finished 4th at Martinsville. For Stewart the 4th place finish was just as good as a win and he was more than willing to agree with that after the race. Hopefully Stewart can build on that and have another strong run this weekend in Texas.
  • Clint Bowyer – Bowyer has put together consecutive top-10 finishes for the first time in about three months. 2014 has been a disappointment for Bowyer and his team but they seem to be closing the season out on a high note.
