Matt Kenseth – 42 years old

Kenseth is a former NASCAR champion that has been chasing his second title for quite awhile.

Kenseth looked to be in championship form in 2013 when he won seven races and dominated parts of the season. In 2014 Kenseth suffered a decline when he wasn’t able to win a single race despite still making the chase and running fairly well. The outlook for 2015 is bright for Kenseth whose team is looking to become a powerhouse in the sport with the addition of Carl Edwards. It’s hard to imagine Kenseth not winning in 2015 given how dominate he was in 2013 and how consistent he was early and late in 2014.

Kenseth is older than Johnson and Earnhardt Jr. but he has not given any indication that the end of his career is near. It would seem that Kenseth is going to continue to race for the foreseeable future.

Prediction: While the end might not be in sight for Kenseth another title doesn’t seem to be either. The new chase format will give him a better chance to contend for a title but I don’t see him winning another before he calls it a career.
