NASCAR: 10 Bold Predictions For 2015

5. Chase Elliott will impress in the few races that he runs.
Elliott isn’t coming to the Sprint Cup Series full-time until 2016 but he is expected to run a handful of races in 2015 for HMS.
I don’t think Elliott will win a race in 2015 although I would not be surprised if he did. However, I do think that Elliott is going to have a couple of nice finishes. Elliott will pick up a top-five in 2015 and he will most likely add a top-10 or two to that as well.
Along with Kyle Larson, Elliott is the future of racing. Larson might have started a couple of seasons before Elliott but Elliott has more than enough talent to close that gap come 2016. The only real question that is left is what number will he run in 2015. RPM will not give up the No. 9 since Sam Hornish Jr. is in it, Elliott might sport the No. 25 this season.
