NASCAR: 10 Bold Predictions For 2015
USA Today Sports
6. Trevor Bayne and Tony Stewart will make the chase.
Neither of these drivers was in the chase in 2014 but they will both be there in 2015.
Bayne will enter 2015 having a full-time ride for the first time in his Sprint Cup Series career. In the past few seasons while running part-time with the Wood Brothers, Bayne was able to win the Daytona 500. I do believe that 2015 will be a struggle for RFR but I don’t think that is going to stop Bayne from finding his way into the chase. I think Bayne has a lot of talent and he will make the most of it at RFR.
Stewart is coming off of the worst season of his career both on and off of the track. That being said, Stewart is primed for quite the comeback. Kevin Harvick showed us in 2014 what kind of stuff SHR has and in 2015 Stewart will show us as well. Stewart didn’t win a race in 2014 but that will change in 2015 and it could happen as early as the Daytona 500.
Stewart has never won a Daytona 500 but there is always a first time for everything.
