NASCAR: 10 Bold Predictions For 2015

8. Carl Edwards will lead the series in wins.
In 2014 Edwards won a pair of races, in 2015 he will win five or six races.
I think the move from RFR to JGR is the shot in the arm that Edwards and his career need. Despite running for an under-performing team in RFR last season, Edwards still won twice. Now with JGR and teammates like Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch; Edwards is going to have an exceptional season.
I’m not willing to wager on how far Edwards will make it in the chase but with all of these wins it’s evident that I think he will be in there. Edwards came close to winning a title in 2011 and 2015 could be the same type of season for him as he begins his run in the No. 19 machine.
