HOT – Jeff Gordon

This could be the last time that we see Jeff Gordon run the Sprint Unlimited. Well, in all honesty this might have more to do with the fact hat the name of the race will be changing soon but that is neither here nor there.

This season is going to be about Gordon in many ways. Gordon announced a few weeks ago that this would be his final full-time year in the Sprint Cup Series and as a result 2015 is going to produce many potential “last” moments when it comes to the driver of the No. 24 machine. With the announcement of his departure and the announcement of Chase Elliott taking over the No. 24 in 2016 we now know that regardless of future plans this will be the last year Gordon drives the No. 24.

The 2015 season consists of 36 point races and three exhibition races, enjoy watching Gordon in the No. 24 as much as you possibly can. Last year Derek Jeter embarked on his farewell tour from baseball and it would be foolish to think that Gordon will not receive a similar response.
