NASCAR: Who’s Hot And Who’s Not Heading Into Atlanta

HOT – Joey Logano
Well, this one is quite obvious. Joey Logano is coming off winning the Daytona 500 and more or less securing his spot in the 2015 chase. Give the way that the last race in 2014 went down, this was the perfect way for Logano and the No. 22 team to start off 2015. There were quite a few critics out there who said during the off-season that Logano’s 2014 run was nothing more than a fluke. Those critics refused to give him the credit that he deserved for a championship-caliber season. One race into 2015 and Logano is once again showing that he is for real and that he is looking to make another run at his first title.
Granted, a lot can happen over the next 35 races. However, it’s hard to imagine Logano not being in the thick of things for the rest of the season. This weekend in Atlanta, Logano will be looking for his second win of the season. His first win almost locks him into the chase, a second win would guarantee him a spot in the chase this season.
