Honorable Mention:

Every week there will be a couple of drivers who do not receive real grades but deserve to be mentioned. More often than not these mentions will be positive but sometimes we might throw in a negative one. Below are the honorable mentions after the Kobalt Tools 400.

  • AJ Allmendinger – Three races into 2015 and Allmendinger finds himself 5th in the point standings. Not too shabby for a guy that many said would miss the chase this season and struggle this season.
  • Casey Mears – Mears is 9th in the point standings after three races. While 9th in the standings is great, Mears needs to be careful. After a top-10 at Daytona Mears had a top-15 last week and a top-25 this week. He might be trending in the wrong direction.
