No. 4 – Surprise Win For Newman (2010)

In a race dominated by Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch a late caution changed the situation drastically. Six drivers opted for just two tires and got to start at the front while all the other lead-lap cars took four and started further back.

On the restart Ryan Newman took advantage of the cushion of cars he had to protect him from the drivers that had taken four fresh tires, passed Jeff Gordon and cruised to his first victory since the 2008 Daytona 500 by leading only four laps. It was also the first ever win in Sprint Cup for the number 39.
